About
Founded in 2017 in North Cyprus, Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) is a welcoming thematic art university focused on the fields of art, design, and communication. ARUCAD aspires to be one of the most respected institutions for art education, providing students with opportunities to enhance their creative productivity through interdisciplinary and cross-cultural programs. These programs are based on traditional, modern, and contemporary art teaching and learning methods. Additionally, ARUCAD recognizes the inseparable connection between theory and practice.
ARUCAD places importance on ecological awareness, recycling, health, safety, as well as equality in gender, race, and religious values. These values are integrated into the teaching and learning environment. The education model at ARUCAD revolves around the concept of “learning whilst producing, producing whilst learning,” aiming to foster innovative artists and designers with a holistic perspective that combines practical experience, critical thinking, and practice.

Qualifications and Enrollment
Required documents for application:

- High School Diploma + Transcript (translated to English and notarized)
- Portfolio (scan copies of your relevant works)
- Scanned copy of your Passport (photo page)
- Minimum IELTS 5.0 or TOEFL 60. If you haven’t taken these exams, you’ll need to take a language proficiency exam when you arrive. All programs are taught in English.
Please keep in mind that evaluation results will be announced within 3-4 working days after we receive all the required documents and conduct an interview (if necessary).
For your personal portfolio, please include a variety of works such as drawings, videos, paintings, graphic novels, thematic work, doodles, sketches, illustrations, mixed media, digital illustrations, animations, and photographs. Please organize your works in a single PDF file (and mp4 for videos) using www.smallpdf.com.
For enrollment, we kindly ask students to bring all of their original documents.

Scholarship Opportunities
For the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year, we are thrilled to announce that all international students will be eligible for a fantastic 50% tuition fee waiver scholarship upon admission.
Furthermore, we deeply appreciate your interview and portfolio. Based on their evaluation, you may also have the wonderful chance to receive an additional scholarship on your tuition fees, ranging from 75% to 100%.
Here at ARUCAD, we welcome students twice a year, during the Fall and Spring semesters. The next intake will be for the Spring semester, beginning in March.

ACCOMMODATION
Arkin University of Creative Arts & Design (ARUCAD) offers a variety of accommodation options conveniently located within a 10-minute walking distance from the campus. Our dormitory provides both standard and luxurious flat-style accommodations, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-cared-for environment.
The flats can accommodate one, two, or four students with 2 double bedrooms. In addition to the bedrooms, each flat includes common areas such as a living room, kitchen, and bathroom.
All flats are equipped with air conditioning, wireless internet connection, and a television in the living room. You will also find a cozy lobby with a comfortable couch and television near the reception area.
Staying at university accommodation not only provides you with a place to stay but also helps you adjust more quickly to the new environment. With your personal needs taken care of, you can fully focus on your studies.
