Let the Sun Shine!

The Mediterranean climate in North Cyprus provides an abundance of enjoyable leisure activities throughout the year.

During the long summer days, you can bask in the sun on hot golden beaches and take refreshing dips in the clear blue waters of the Mediterranean. It’s a delight for both kids and adults. However, it is advisable to seek beach-side shade and use sun cream as temperatures can easily exceed 40°C at the peak of summer.

In spring and autumn, the weather is warm, although not as scorching hot as summer. In the pleasant evenings, you may need to wear a jacket over your daytime t-shirt. This relief from the intense summer sun opens a wide range of possibilities for activities. Cycling, hiking, nature watching, and various land and water sports like golf, tennis, water skiing, and snorkeling await enthusiasts and beginners alike.

While the locals enjoy the sea from June to September, many visitors from Western countries with harsher climates start dipping into the Eastern Mediterranean as early as April and continue until the end of November.
