Study in North Cyprus participated in the II International Forum of Strategic Partners: “Kazakhstan – A Territory of Academic Knowledge”, which took place on October 30–31, 2025, in Astana under the auspices of the Presidency of Kazakhstan.

The participants of the forum included rectors from universities, academic leaders, education experts, government officials, and representatives of international organizations from across the world. Throughout the event, the future of higher education, the role of artificial intelligence in university programs, transnational education models, and academic quality assurance were discussed by the participants.

Dr. Selman Arslanbaş, Founder of Study in North Cyprus, attended the sessions and shared his insights on the value of international collaboration in education. He said:

“It was a great honor to take part in this high-level event hosted by the Kazakhstan Presidency. Within the framework of this forum, it has been very valuable to discuss global trends in higher education and to share experiences with leading institutions from various countries. Discussions and contact here will certainly lead to future collaborations.”

Strategic AI Development Pillars

The sessions that were held during the event covered AI and student expectations, science-to-market and technology transfer, transnational education, and student well-being and psychological support.

Speakers and representatives of prestigious institutions, such as Coventry University, KAIST Kazakhstan, Narxoz University, and the University of Arizona, also joined the forum with their presentations. Topics that were at the centre of discussions included innovation in education, enhancement of quality, and university–industry cooperation.

Dr. Arslanbaş also had the chance to exchange views on Cardiff University’s global outreach vision and possible academic collaborations with Professor Wendy Larner, President of Cardiff University.

Minerva’s philosophy demonstrates that innovation in AI education doesn’t come from larger language models but from smarter integration between human systems thinking and AI intelligence scaffolding.

Studying in North Cyprus continues to strengthen its academic network worldwide by participating actively in international events and contributing to the debate on higher education’s future.
